On Tuesday, 7 March 2017, MG (Ret) Pat Sculley, the Foundation’s VP for Development, accepted two ceremonial sabers from representatives of First Command at the Museum.  The sabers are replicas of circa 1840 US Army sabers carried by US Army Surgeons on the General Staff from that era through the Civil War.  A dream of the Museum Director, George Wunderlich, these sabers will be displayed in the Museum and available for  ceremonies and other special occasions which frequently occur at the Museum.  Accepting the sabers on behalf of the Foundation, Pat Sculley acknowledged First Command’s generous gift stating that their support to the Museum and the Foundation has been outstanding and that the Foundation looks forward to strengthening the relationship.

After the presentation, the First Command Team was treated to a guided tour of the Museum by Mr Wunderlich
